Lauren Sigman has over 25 years of experience in personal financial planning, mortgage finance and real estate. She created Sigman Financial Fitness® to work with corporate executives and employees, entrepreneurs, business owners and professionals in Colorado looking for individualized, creative ways to manage their financial fitness, no matter what shape they're in.
Lauren is a real estate and mortgage expert -- a plus for Sigman Financial Fitness® and Boulder West Financial Services clients -- since home ownership is the single largest asset on most people's balance sheets, and the associated mortgage debt is usually the single largest liability. Because Lauren is focused on cash flow planning, and not simply investing, her primary interest is in making sure all your assets, whether it's a home or a mutual fund portfolio, are working hard for you.

An avid skier, cyclist and rock climber, Lauren's passion for the outdoors drew her to Colorado in the early '90s. Before moving to Colorado, Lauren spent 12 years in the financial industry. She was an investment banker with Morgan Stanley & Co., a financial analyst with J.W. O'Connor & Co., and Vice President of Finance for Silverstein Properties, a Forbes 400 commercial real estate developer in New York City, where she was responsible for arranging over $1 billion in financing.
Lauren is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, and a member of the Colorado Chapter of the Financial Planning Association. She earned her undergraduate degree from the Woodrow Wilson School for Public and International Affairs at Princeton University in 1980 and her MBA from Harvard Business School in 1984.
In addition to her professional activities, Lauren is active in the outdoor community. She also serves on the board of the Access Fund Land Foundation, a climber's advocacy group, and is an active fundraiser for Bicycle Colorado and the Women's Wilderness Institute.
