Paul Rockwood was born at Lutheran Hospital, Wheatridge in 1965. His family moved to Utah, and his first high school was Skyline in Salt Lake City; then back to Colorado and Arvada High, graduating 1984.

In a developing pattern... back to Utah, Brigham Young University, graduated 1990 in Business. Of two developments in those college years, one was responsible (a church mission to Scotland), and the other... hard to describe.

Remember that Paul is one of the world’s straightest, most honest men. A very different Colorado business figure, legendary -- infamous -- was Michael Wise, CEO of Silverado Savings, poster child of the S&L meltdown, and later casual with other people’s money, now doing hard time. For a brief time in Wise’s glory days, Paul was his butler.

Home from mission, Paul managed the Wal-Mart in Brighton for two years. Nothing like a green vest to get you ready for the sales world.

Then in 1993 signed on with First Funding as a mortgage banker, and stayed there for 13 years -- top producer for eleven. Paul joined us two years ago, founding our operations in Denver, and has been top producer for us, also.

Paul might tell you his pride in never, ever missing a closing date for any loan, or for that matter failing to close for any reason, once he pre-approved the deal. He would never tell you these things: that he is a deeply kind, loyal, and forgiving man; that he has a rich sense of humor even on a day going badly; and that everyone in this company gives thanks to be associated with him.

He is a devoted husband to Beverly, and father to four kids not quite yet aware how lucky they are.
